What They Told Us: Reviewing Last Week’s Key Polls - Rasmussen Reports™:
"The disconnect between government and the average American continues.
President Obama flew to Denmark at week’s end on an urgent mission to bring consensus to the United Nations summit on global warming, but many voters just don’t see the problem the way the president and other world leaders do.
In fact, 50% of voters now believe that global warming is caused primarily by long-term planetary trends, a high for the year. Only 34% say climate change is due primarily to human activity, even as the UN summit tried to limit the human activity they blame for global warming.
But then voters are much less enthusiastic in general about the president’s handling of energy issues these days.
Americans also are opposed to further government regulation of the U.S. financial system, but the president and congressional Democrats are close to passage of legislation that will give the government more oversight than ever."
