Today, Freedom Watch began an investigation of the Obama White House’s reported excessive partying at The White House, with the likes of Stevie Wonder and other high priced entertainment stars. In what in recent weeks has become more like a “high priced night club,” Barack and Michelle Obama have been throwing taxpayer funded parties nearly every night with their “friends” and supporters, with Michelle Obama even exhorting them not to “break” White House property.
TODAY, FREEDOM WATCH FILED DOCUMENT REQUESTS WITH THE GENERAL SERVICES ADMINISTRATION TO DETERMINE HOW MUCH TAXPAYER MONEY IS BEING USED FOR THESE “SOIREES,” AS FINANCIAL MARKETS COLLAPSE, HOMES ARE FORECLOSED AND AS“ROME BURNS.”

“This party atmosphere sends the wrong message to the American people. As the Obama-Clinton crowd party on, the American people are suffering greatly. It was right to criticize corporate execs for using taxpayer bailout money on bonuses and corporate junkets. In the face of this criticism, it is an outrage for Barack and Michelle Obama to party on, as Rome burns. It’s like throwing a party at a funeral.”
But Obama made damn sure to make vilions out of executives of large corporations who made more than average workers and even gave them salery caps.
Again Obama's stragedy is .. do as i say not as i do. Everyone has to cut back unless they have been duly baptized in the waters of the One.
I really should give him a break I suppose. After all, he is in his first few months in office and being a foreigner born in Kenya he probably misses home and all.

And that saddens me. But I am not in favor of treating Brown like some guy who just wandered in off the street either. Once we got over the whole growing pains thing, what with the War of Independence and the War of 1812, America and the UK have had a unique and solid relationship that has benefited both nations. The leader of our “cousins across the pond” deserves better treatment at the hands of our president, even if he is the Messiah and Gordon a mere mortal.

He reckons he’ll need Congress for more ambitious projects, like health care, and when he goes back to wheedle more bailout billions, given that A.I.G. and G.M. and our other corporate protectorates are burning through our money faster than we can print it and borrow it from the ever-more-alarmed Chinese.
Team Obama sounds hollow, chanting that “the status quo is not acceptable,” even while conceding that the president is accepting the status quo by signing a budget festooned with pork.
Obama spinners insist it was “a leftover budget.” But Iraq was leftover, too, and the president’s trying to end that. This is the first pork-filled budget from a new president who promised to go through the budget “line by line” and cut pork."

My Way News - Some Senate Democrats shun huge spending bill: "A few Democrats are voicing opposition to the bill, however, unhappy with its cost and changes to U.S. policy toward Cuba.
Most significantly, Democrats Evan Bayh of Indiana and Russ Feingold of Wisconsin announced Wednesday that they will vote against the bill. Both urged Obama to veto it.
'There's just a disconnect between what people are having to go through in their daily lives - tightening their belts, economizing where they can - and what they see the government is doing,' Bayh said in an interview. 'I just think it's tone deaf and, substantively, we do need to get the deficit under control.'
Democratic leaders scrambled to hold onto other Democrats, even as some GOP leaders conceded the bill is going to pick up GOP votes that would prove critical to its passage.
'I just don't know whether we have enough votes to stop it,' said Sen. John Ensign, R-Nev., the No. 3 GOP leader in the Senate."

The GAO has released a new study on lessons learned from recovery efforts after Ike and Gustav. Among the principal findings:
* Big benefits accrue from developing a “clear, implementable and timely recovery plan” very soon after the event.
* Developing “financial and technical capacity” to administer funding is as important as accessibility to funding itself.
* The more that can be done to speed the recovery of private employers and business services, the more rapidly overall recovery will proceed.
* Fighting fraud, waste and abuse has to be built into the recovery effort from the beginning.
A personal take: Immediately after a disaster the media and politicians demand “flexibility” in meeting human needs. Roughly six months later the same parties will begin to complain about fraud, waste, and abuse.
In order to achieve maximum flexibility with minimum fraud there is a need - not referenced in the GAO study - for more training and exercising of disaster recovery specialists from the local, state, and federal governments and the private sector."

This is just disgusting. Because Obama only controls the Presidency and the Congress he fears he can't get his socialized medicine approved. Therefore instead of making the program more in tuned with what the people ofthe United States may want, he choses to change the rules of general voting.
Anyone who believes that we are living in a free republic is out of touch with reality. This man is just doing what he wants and changing the goal posts as he goes along.
What is the sense of having elections of the electors will not do OUR bidding? I thought that was what the whole system was about. We the people elected people to represent us. That way a collective agreement could be made as to the best course of action based upon what the majority of people in these United States wanted.
The theory was that we would elect people who had ideas that were like ours, and they would inturn deliver that message to congress, the senate and even the president would be of like mind. That if any one of the three started doing just what they wanted that the other two would stop them. Even if it went so far as two of the branches started doing just what they wanted and ignored the will of the people the third could stop it.
Apparently not, this change has stopped the process of doing what the people want and is now about what the decisions of ONE MAN want.
Can anyone tell me what the form of government is one where One man makes all the rules?

WASHINGTON (AP) — The Justice Department on Monday released a long-secret legal document from 2001 in which the Bush administration claimed the military could search and seize terror suspects in the United States without warrants.
The legal memo was written about a month after the Sept. 11 terror attacks. It says constitutional protections against unlawful search and seizure would not apply to terror suspects in the U.S., as long as the president or another high official authorized the action.
Even after the Bush administration rescinded that legal analysis, the Justice Department refused to release its contents, prompting a standoff with congressional Democrats.
The memo was one of nine released Monday by the Obama administration.
Another memo showed that, within two weeks of Sept. 11, the administration was contemplating ways to use wiretaps without getting warrants.
The author of the search and seizure memo, John Yoo, did not immediately return a call seeking comment.
In that memo, Yoo wrote that the president could treat terrorist suspects in the United States like an invading foreign army. For instance, he said, the military would not have to get a warrant to storm a building to prevent terrorists from detonating a bomb.
Yoo also suggested that the government could put new restrictions on the press and speech, without spelling out what those might be.
"First Amendment speech and press rights may also be subordinated to the overriding need to wage war successfully," Yoo wrote, adding later: "The current campaign against terrorism may require even broader exercises of federal power domestically."
While they were once important legal pillars of the U.S. fight against al-Qaida, all of the memos were withdrawn in the final days of the Bush administration.
In one of his first official acts as president, Barack Obama also signed an order negating the memos' claims until his administration could conduct a thorough review.
In a speech Monday, Obama's attorney general, Eric Holder said that too often in the past decade the fight against terrorism has been put in opposition to "our tradition of civil liberties."
That "has done us more harm than good," he declared. "I've often said that the test of a great nation is whether it will adhere to its core values not only when it is easy but when it is hard."
