You'll lose 5 key freedoms under Obama's health care plan - Jul. 24, 2009
If you read the fine print in the Congressional plans, you'll find that a lot of cherished aspects of the current system would disappear.
1. Freedom to choose what's in your plan...
2. Freedom to be rewarded for healthy living, or pay your real costs...
3. Freedom to choose high-deductible coverage...
4. Freedom to keep your existing plan...
5. Freedom to choose your doctors...

Obama Administration Sent in His SEIU and ACORN "Brownshirts" With Orders to Beat Up Protestors!
How can the Whitehouse get away with contacting and ordering SEIU and ACORN members to go to townhall meetings just to intimidate people who oppose Obama's Health Care Reform and use phsyical violence if necessary. We were shocked to hear the Obama loving left-wing socialist media were calling retirees, senior citizens, veterans, AARP members part of some kind of "Organized Right-Wing Conspiracy" who are being paid by Insurance companys... but this recent news of the Whitehouse actually contacting ACORN and SEIU officials and ordering them to violence is horrifying!

Our Enemy, The State | Editorial
It is unfortunately none too well understood that, just as the State has no money of its own, so it has no power of its own. All the power it has is what society gives it, plus what it confiscates from time to time on one pretext or another; there is no other source from which State power can be drawn. Therefore every assumption of State power, whether by gift or seizure, leaves society with so much less power. There is never, nor can there be, any strengthening of State power without a corresponding and roughly equivalent depletion of social power."

In response to the outrage at the Leftist Congress that has been voiced by ordinary Americans in Town Hall events around the country, the Democrats have opted – typically – not to address the peoples’ concerns, but rather to demonize those who get in their way.
Rather than admitting there’s something wrong with passing our country’s nation-altering health-care legislation without having even read the bill, the Left, once again, is engaging in the “There’s Something the Matter with Kansas” meme, and that it is the people — not the far-left Democrats — who have something the matter with them!
The most frequently heard slander about the people who are attending the Town Hall meetings in unprecedented numbers is that they are “angry” – as if their anger is somehow proof that their arguments aren’t legitimate.
But “the people” have plenty to be angry about:
Peggy Noonan: ‘You Are Terrifying Us’ - WSJ.com
They must know at this point they should not have pushed a national health-care plan. A Democratic operative the other day called it “Hillary’s revenge.” When Mrs. Clinton started losing to Barack Obama in the primaries 18 months ago, she began to give new and sharper emphasis to her health-care plan. Mr. Obama responded by talking about his health-care vision. He won. Now he would push what he had been forced to highlight: Health care would be a priority initiative. The net result is falling support for his leadership on the issue, falling personal polls, and the angry town-hall meetings that have electrified YouTube.
In his first five months in office, Mr. Obama had racked up big wins—the stimulus, children’s health insurance, House approval of cap-and-trade. But he stayed too long at the hot table. All the Democrats in Washington did. They overinterpreted the meaning of the 2008 election, and didn’t fully take into account how the great recession changed the national mood and atmosphere."

As Deficit Soars to Record $1.3 Trillion, Dems Push Health Care Plan That Adds Even More Red Ink, Costs Even More Jobs | Republican Leader John Boehner
Boehner: "Trillions More in Washington Spending Will Not End a Recession; It Only Puts Future Generations Under a Mountain of Unsustainable Debt."
Washington, Aug 7 - The Congressional Budget Office (CBO) reports that the federal budget deficit has reached a once-unthinkable $1.3 trillion, thanks to the Democrats’ spending binge that has even made some in Washington blush, and it’s going to go even higher. While the Administration attempts to rewrite history on its trillion-dollar “stimulus” spending bill, the fact is that it has not provided a “jolt” to our economy. It has not created jobs immediately. And it certainly has not held unemployment below eight percent, as the Administration promised it would earlier this year. Instead, it has only added more red ink that ultimately will be inherited by our children and grandchildren. Dow Jones reports on the CBO news and how its forecast shows the deficit could reach $1.8 trillion this year:
| “In its monthly assessment of the state of the federal government’s fiscal picture, the CBO said the deficit is now running $880 billion higher than the comparable period in fiscal 2008.”
“The CBO has forecast the deficit will reach $1.8 trillion for the complete fiscal year. The federal government's fiscal year ends Sept. 30.” |
With today’s jobs report confirming that more than two million Americans have lost their jobs since the “stimulus” became law, Americans are asking “where are the jobs?” And as House Republican Leader John Boehner noted this morning, they’re also wondering where their tax dollars are going:
| “While the hard work and ingenuity of the American people will ultimately bring our economy back, the trillion-dollar ‘stimulus’ has fallen woefully short of creating the jobs the Administration promised… Trillions more in Washington spending will not end a recession; it only puts future generations under a mountain of unsustainable debt.” |
Washington Democrats are poised to add even more to the deficit through their government-run health care experiment. CBO estimates that the Democrats’ government takeover of health care will add $239 billion to the deficit over the next 10 years, with even larger deficits in the years that follow. And on the jobs front, the news is no better. According to a model developed by Dr. Christina Romer, the chair of the White House Council of Economic Advisors, the Democrats’ health care plan will destroy as many as 5.5 million American jobs over the next 10 years.
Families and small businesses across America are hurting during this recession, but the Democrats running Washington have only made matters worse by pursuing a job-killing agenda that will make it harder than ever for small businesses to succeed. And the price tag of this agenda is burying future generations under deeper and deeper debt from which they will find it nearly impossible to emerge. When are Democratic leaders in Congress and the Administration going to stop moving the goalposts on their “stimulus” promises and start working with Republicans on real reforms to help small businesses create jobs, curb the debt, and expand Americans’ access to affordable health care?

ObamaCare opponents bewareCalling All Informants
The White House this week took to quoting John Adams in an effort to "debunk" criticism of and opposition to ObamaCare. "Facts are stubborn things," said the administration. After videos resurfaced of Barack Obama saying in 2003, "I happen to be a proponent of a single-payer universal health care program," and in 2007, "I don't think we're going to be able to eliminate employer coverage immediately. There's going to be potentially some transition process," damage control became imperative.
Linda Douglass, the communications director for the White House's Health Reform Office, came to the rescue with a video of her own, claiming that opponents were simply cherry-picking quotes to create a "very false impression." The trouble is, simply repeating Obama's claims about Americans keeping their insurance plans isn't the same as disproving the critics. Facts are stubborn things, Linda.

The Grass Is Not Always Greener A Look at National Health Care Systems Around the World by Michael Tanner
Critics of the U.S. health care system frequently
point to other countries as models for
reform. They point out that many countries
spend far less on health care than the United
States yet seem to enjoy better health outcomes.
The United States should follow the lead of
those countries, the critics say, and adopt a government-
run, national health care system.
However, a closer look shows that nearly all
health care systems worldwide are wrestling with
problems of rising costs and lack of access to care.
There is no single international model for national
health care, of course. Countries vary dramatically
in the degree of central control, regulation,
and cost sharing they impose, and in the role of
private insurance. Still, overall trends from national
health care systems around the world suggest

As the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists noted in a study in 2003, cerebral palsy could not be blamed in the 'vast majority' of cases on delivery trouble. Edwards enriched himself by using bad science to bankrupt innocent physicians.
Its not just the insurance costs, but these lawsuits cause doctors to run additional and possibly unessential procedures:

Ms. Cuccarolo's little girl was born in a firetruck.
France claims it long ago achieved much of what today's U.S. health-care overhaul is seeking: It covers everyone, and provides what supporters say is high-quality care. But soaring costs are pushing the system into crisis. The result: As Congress fights over whether America should be more like France, the French government is trying to borrow U.S. tactics.
Another Trillion? by Stephen T. Parente, City Journal 5 August 2009
The biggest player in the health-care debate right now isn’t Nancy Pelosi, Harry Reid, or even President Obama. It’s the Congressional Budget Office, which is responsible for estimating the costs of proposed legislation. After the director of the CBO testified on July 16 that none of the health-reform bills in the House or Senate would reduce the rate of increase in federal spending on health care, congressional efforts fell into disarray. Many policymakers began searching for a way to get costs below the CBO’s frightening estimate of $1.1 trillion over ten years. Others attacked the CBO, calling its estimates irresponsible.
The CBO is actually being kind to the would-be reformers. Its analysis likely understates—by at least $1 trillion—the true costs of expanding health coverage as current Democratic legislation contemplates. Over the last few months, my colleagues and I at the consulting firm Health Systems Innovations have provided cost estimates of health-care reform to both Republican and Democratic members of Congress, and we’ve posted these estimates on our website as well. We believe that the Democratic bills currently under consideration in the House and Senate would cost $2.1 trillion and $2.4 trillion, respectively—much higher than CBO’s figures.

MEHLVILLE -- St. Louis County police on Thursday arrested at least four people, including a Post-Dispatch reporter, outside a town hall forum held by Rep. Russ Carnahan, said Dawn Majors, a Post-Dispatch photojournalist who witnessed everything unfold.
It happened about 8:30 p.m at Bernard Middle School on Forder Road in Mehlville. Carnahan, D-St. Louis, had drawn a rowdy crowd that overflowed the school gym and left dozens of people outside. Many of those who showed up at what had been billed as a forum on aging carried signs about the national health-care debate.
Dozens of people were kept out because there was no room for them inside. Members of the local Tea Party Coalition, a movement that has emerged to counter President Barack Obama’s policies, had urged their members to attend, which in turn spurred Democrats to establish a strong presence.
Atlas Shrugs: Obama passing new law to allow searching of PC's, Laptops, and media devices
"In extreme secrecy from the public, the Obama administration is hammering out an international treaty with other several other countries and the EU ......under ACTA, the government will get sweeping new powers to search and seize material thought to be in breach of copyright. But why all the secrecy? What it will do on a larger scale is let big brother watch you; however, this time on a completely different level."
"Border guards will be given unprecedented powers to search travelers without warning. They will be able to go through and confiscate any material a person has on their laptop."
"America is being overtaken by a culture of surveillance."
Can you imagine if Bush did anything remotely close to this?
Maddow’s Witchhunt « NewsReal Blog
Rachel Maddow spent 40 minutes of her show trying to discredit people who don’t like the Obama trillion-dollar socialized medicine plan. Not a single word of analysis, only ad hominem attacks on citizen dissenters as mobsters and proto-nazis. But this is what leftists always do — target the messenger, discredit the opponent. As Lenin said: for progressives the object of a political debate is not to refute your opponent but to wipe him from the face of the earth. I never met a leftist who didn’t follow this prescription.

Olbermann Calls Obamacare Opponents “Rioters” and “Shills” « NewsReal Blog
Listening to Keith Olbermann, the host of MSNBC’s Countdown, is like is receiving multiple layers of anesthesia at the dentist: each inane phrase and assault on facts and logic he utters progressively numbs his viewer to the next. David Horowitz has noted Olbermann’s underwhelming evidence for “health care riots” at townhall meetings, as Democrats try to sell an unpopular plan to constituents who have the audacity to speak up. Olbermann also expressed astonishment, shock, and outrage that most of those people opposing socialized medicine already have health insurance.

Email to the White House snitchline
Look at this email to the White House snitchline from a reader at Stop the ACLU.
I did not write this I'm just sharing it with you.
A letter to President Barack Obama, sent to flag@whitehouse.gov
Greetings, sir, I pray for your health and that God may grant you peace and wisdom.
I am writing to you at this email address because of a post at the White House blog that, frankly, sir, has me a bit concerned.
I am certain that you are committed to freedom and liberty and do not intend on decreasing the level of freedom or the participation of citizens in the process of deciding public policy for our nation, even if that might mean that some of your initiatives have to be scaled back or simply abandoned.
Some might, however, question your commitment to freedom and the participation of citizens in the decision making process and this is why I am writing, respectfully, in the hope of seeing a happy resolution to what I hope is merely a poorly stated appeal for help in support of your health care initiative.
I understand you are asking people, through your staff, to email flag@whitehouse.gov to report people who oppose your health care plan, even though, Mr. President, you have NOT actually sent out a specific proposal and there are multiple different proposals.
Your appeal, which I sincerely fear is a call for informants ( [link to www.whitehouse.gov] was cloaked in what seems to some, myself included, doublespeak, and to my mind this appeal carries the implication that the White House wants to capture the names of opponents, which has a potentially chilling effect on open debate.
As part of this appeal, you tell your readers, basically, that people who are citing video of yourself calling for a single payer system and detailing an incrementalist approach ‘liars’, something that is both impolite and, frankly, juvenile and beneath contempt. Those statements were made by you, Mr. President. If indeed you are opposed to a single payer plan and have changed your mind, it is useful to you, and citizens who may even support you but for this perception, to clear this matter up rather than blaming others for a reasonable and logical assumption based on what you actually said.
Mr. President, facts ARE stubborn things and unless or until you publicly disavow a single payer system and actually ANNOUNCE and put in print YOUR health care proposal, it is only reasonable to think that all those things you have said are still on the table and part of your overall plan. If, however, you want a single payer system, please tell us and put in writing what your plan is so that we can have a civil discourse.
Mr. President, are you willing to state what your plan is then publicly disavow any plan that involves single payer plans in any fashion?
Further, Mr. President, would you be willing to solemnly swear that the minute you propose or even SIGN any bill that includes a single player plan or a precursor thereto that you will resign your office? Are you willing, sir, to resign your office if the implementation of your plan results in anything more than a 10% decrease in the number of people enrolled in private plans within 4 years after whatever bill is passed?
Please be advised, Mr. President, I will not be monitored: I oppose what some refer to as ‘Obamacare’ on the basis of my conviction that the Federal Power has no business sticking its nose in such things, a point of view that I sincerely believe is consistent with the original intent of our Founders. I respect that you feel differently and read that differently, but to dismiss our point of view with juvenile and petty name-calling that is clearly beneath contempt and that is simply not professional is a reflection on the content of your character that will not turn Americans against those who oppose state-run or regulated and managed health care by ANY name.
I am NOT afraid to stand up for my convictions, I respect you and your office, and I rightfully and justly demand that you and your staff respect me and my office, the office of “elector”, one of your 300 million “bosses”.
I respectfully request that you stop asking people to become informants, please spend a few minutes and re-read your constitution which you swore to uphold, and which is a condition of your tenure which must be adhered to.
I am enclosing a copy of this email to my member of Congress, my Senators, and my Governor as well as any local media and asking them to investigate WHY the White House is trying to capture names of opponents and asking people to inform on opponents.
If your office is seeking to obtain names of people who oppose your plan and to engage other Americans as informants or agents I would, and I am sure many others would, consider this to be a SERIOUS offense against the Bill of Rights if indeed your objective here is to do this, so, with this in mind, sir, please cease and desist and respect even those who oppose you in a civil and fair manner.
I pray that this communication is seen as a friendly appeal for a quick and amicable resolution of my concerns or, at worse, a friendly rebuke, if you will, due to what is clearly impolite behavior that is beneath of the dignity of the Presidency or the White House.
May you continue to be in good health and good spirits as you lead our free nation of free and sovereign citizens who wish you, and America, Godspeed within the reasonable constraints of liberty, justice, and our Constitution.
Yours in service to the Republic,
Bill Collier,
By the Grace of God, Citizen and Elector, The Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, The United States of America
Marysville PA
PS I have BCC’d this to other individuals and hope that they, too, stand up by name and without fear, knowing that your White House, Mr. President, would never seek to in any way censure or persecute in any manner any citizen for simply questioning your policies or conduct: I am sure you will agree with me that the best way to dispel such myths is to reply in a cordial and civil manner to such citizens, even your loyal opposition.

Israel National Radio - Obama Appears to Be a Narcissist
Sam Vaknin is considered by many as the world's renowned expert on Narcissism. He is the author of the book, "Malignant Self Love - Narcissism Revisited". He states that after spending over a thousand hours of watching and analyzing tapes and videos of Barack Hussein Obama, examining his body language, his gestures and speeches that Obama demonstrates that he suffers from NPD, or 'narcissistic personality disorder'. Narcissists are people who project a grandiose but false image of themselves. They can be and often are, dangerous people. Listen at the link above.

The contrast with the Obama administration can’t be more stark. No one in these ranks said that malinvestments have to be washed out of the system and bankruptcies and unemployment must be tolerated for a time in order to get back on a growth. Nay, nay, they pulled out the old bag of tricks and claim that they only needed to loot the public of hundreds of billions and spend it on building up government, and then, wow, like magic, the entire economy would come back to life."
