RightChange: Why The Stimulus Recovery Is NOT Working - Right Change: President Obama has been hard at work promoting his new jobs plan that he has not even delivered yet after he sent a frustrated email to supporters asking them to pressure Congress to pass his jobs plan. The preview into his new jobs package indicated that it’s another failed stimulus plan. His plan calls for billions of dollars in more spending on transportation, construction, education, energy, and extension of unemployment benefits. Sound familiar? It should.
According to DNC Chairwoman Debbie Wasserman Schultz, the results of the stimulus were successful and turned the economy around:
"Well, the Republicans who think the Recovery Act (stimulus) didn't work are simply wrong… So the Republicans can't make up their own facts. The bottom line is the Recovery Act had an impact."
It may have had an impact but it was not a positive one.
