OWS: How Far We Have Fallen - Harry R. Jackson, Jr. - Townhall Conservative: On November 15, 2011, the NYPD expelled Occupy Wall Street Protestors from Zuccotti Park in Lower Manhattan after about two months of round the clock protests. As the protests spread to several cities, OWS has drawn numerous comparisons to the Civil Rights Movement for its objection to the disproportionate power and wealth wielded by the upper “1 percent” of the country. Even Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.’s daughter, Reverend Bernice King, proclaimed that her father would have agreed with the protestors’ grievances in this regard.
