Education Dep't Summit on Homosexuality Bars Reporters from Discussion Sessions | CNSnews.com
When CNSNews.com asked organizers why reporters could not attend the break-out sessions, Education Department public affairs specialist Jo Ann Webb said: “Every summit we’ve had has been this way. It’s to promote an open exchange and that’s just the rule, okay?”
CNSNews.com followed-up, asking, “Even though this is sponsored by the Department of Education and paid by federal tax dollars?” and Webb replied: “It’s been that way for every summit. If you’ve been coming in the past, it’s been that way for every summit.”"

The Ulsterman Report: Out of a Job? Obama No Longer Cares.. | Socyberty
President Obama has cancelled White House briefings on the economy. Perhaps they were getting in the way of his tee time?

As originally reported in The Hill, it has been confirmed that President Barack Obama has stopped the daily economic briefings he repeatedly promised voters in 2009 he would be having. Those briefings were to be a signal to the nation of just how focused (like a laser!) the president was on improving the American economy and its deep and persistent unemployment rate.
The Obama White House is already attempting to place considerable spin on the news that those oft-promised daily economic briefings have been removed from the president’s schedule, indicating he still gets “regular” updates from that economics powerhouse known as Vice President Joe Biden. Ah yes, the same Joe Biden who promised a half million jobs created every month. That promise was made over a year ago, while unemployment most recently went up again to over 9%. Wonder if Biden has informed President Obama of that fact?
On a somewhat related sidenote, Barack Obama has now found time to play 71 rounds of golf since being elected president. Bloody hell…

U.S. funding for future promises lags by trillions - USATODAY.com
The government added $5.3 trillion in new financial obligations in 2010, largely for retirement programs such as Medicare and Social Security. That brings to a record $61.6 trillion the total of financial promises not paid for.
The $61.6 trillion in unfunded obligations amounts to $534,000 per household. That's more than five times what Americans have borrowed for everything else — mortgages, car loans and other debt. It reflects the challenge as the number of retirees soars over the next 20 years and seniors try to collect on those spending promises.

I like the fact that your entrance onto the political stage has forced liberals to reveal that not only do they tend to be effete, pseudo-intellectual snobs, but also hypocrites of the highest order. I like that even when you do things which otherwise might be fairly mundane — going hunting, taking the children out for a meal, or even heading out for a run — the Democratic Party reacts as if you are committing one of the crimes for which they readily forgive their own. It was estimated by Medicare's Chief Actuary that around 400,000 would sign up (the CBO estimated 200,000, but only because they assumed that HHS would use its authority to limit enrollment in order to stay within the $5 billion budgeted for the program). Under George W. Bush, DoJ officials shifted hiring patterns to favor lawyers from GOP-affiliated groups, and away from Democratic-affiliated groups, according to a 2008 report by the DoJ’s Inspector General. The IG report was produced after Democrats and their allies in the media declared Bush’s hiring patterns to be controversial.
This practice is regulated in other agencies, such as the Pentagon, where long-standing expectations and regulations restrict the “revolving door” movement of lobbyists and executives between companies and government posts. But these restrictions have little or no impact on the Justice Department’s hiring of lawyers from groups such as the ACLU or the NAACP, or from D.C-law firms such as Venable."

National Inflation Association
By utilizing the birth/death model, the BLS is assuming that during the month of May, the number of new jobs created by start-up businesses were 206,000 greater than the number of jobs lost from companies going out of business. NIA finds this assumption to be absurd and believes it is likely that jobs lost from companies going out of business were actually much higher than jobs created by new start-up firms. It is obvious to us that the BLS is using the birth/death model to manipulate unemployment figures to make the U.S. employment situation seem far less worse than it truly is. There is absolutely no legitimate reason for the birth/death model upward bias to have increased 84% over the past three months."

1,400 Health Care Waivers Raise Suspicion of Political Favoritism | CNSnews.com
President Barack Obama's administration has granted nearly 1,400 waivers easing requirements of the new health care law, and some critics on the right say Obama is giving his political allies a pass from burdensome requirements everyone else will have to live with.
But what if the waivers work more like a safety valve? What if during the transition to a new system they can prevent unintended consequences — such as people with bare-bones insurance losing their current coverage, or insurers closing shop in a particular state?"

Firms to cut health plans as reform starts: survey - MarketWatch
30% of companies say they’ll stop offering coverage
"LOS ANGELES (MarketWatch) — Once provisions of the Affordable Care Act start to kick in during 2014, at least three of every 10 employers will probably stop offering health coverage, a survey released Monday shows.
While only 7% of employees will be forced to switch to subsidized-exchange programs, at least 30% of companies say they will “definitely or probably” stop offering employer-sponsored coverage, according to the study published in McKinsey Quarterly.
The survey of 1,300 employers says those who are keenly aware of the health-reform measure probably are more likely to consider an alternative to employer-sponsored plans, with 50% to 60% in this group expected to make a change. It also found that for some, it makes more sense to switch."

What Is The Plan Of The Democrats To Move Forward?
The standard ploy and tactic is being used by this side but for the last two years it was the Democrat party that failed to have the fortitude to put forth and pass a fiscal budget for this country. It has been the Democrat party that has failed to be honest with the American public to inform them that reform and reductions in the most sacred cows in politics will and need to occur. Leading from behind and continually attempting to state that the economy is on a rebound has failed to stand up to the very fact that the standard quo is not working and will in the end bankrupt the very programs that they are stating that the Republican plan addresses.

Experts back Sarah Palin’s historical account
Palin prompted howls of partisan derision when she said on Boston’s Freedom Trail that Revere “warned the British that they weren’t going to be taking away our arms by ringing those bells and making sure as he’s riding his horse through town to send those warning shots and bells that we were going to be secure and we were going to be free.”
Palin insisted yesterday on Fox News Sunday she was right: “Part of his ride was to warn the British that were already there. That, hey, you’re not going to succeed. You’re not going to take American arms.”"

Federal pension payments follow some retirees into the grave - Washington Times

Usually, relatives, friends or caretakers take the checks and cash them, hoping the government won’t notice. Many of the thieves face criminal charges once caught, but not all of them end up before a judge. And in some cases, years pass before the fraud comes to light.

The Raleigh News and Observer, which first reported the story, said the Justice Department was insisting that Edwards serve six months in jail if he pleaded guilty.
After initially saying Edwards had to agree to plead guilty to a felony in earlier discussions, CNN is told prosecutors last week offered for him instead to plead guilty to some misdemeanors.
But the jail time was the breaking point."

“For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.”
Ephesians 6:12
The mindset of the American left is a spirit of Antichrist which is man making himself God.
Before writing me off as a Bible nut, please hear me out. Understanding this reality will explain much of the left's behavior. Because they believe man is God, in their insane arrogance, the left think they can fix everything; legislate equal outcomes and even save or destroy the planet.
Make no mistake about it folks, we are in a spiritual battle. Ask yourself. Specifically, what about Sarah Palin inspires such visceral hatred from the left? The word is “wholesome”."
