Obama’s Off-Mic Remarks to Medvedev Confirm His True Goal: Full Nuclear Disarmament, Say National Security Experts | CNSNews.com: (CNSNews.com) -- President Barack Obama’s recent remarks to outgoing Russian President Dmitry Medevedev about missile defense and “more flexibility” after the November election reveal Obama’s goal of using missile defense as a bargaining chip to negotiate nuclear disarmament with Russia, according to a panel of national security experts who spoke at the conservative Heritage Foundation.

“The president is using and will continue to use U.S. ballistic missile defense as a bargaining chip with the Russians in his single-minded pursuit of ridding the world of nuclear weapons,” said Rebeccah Heinrichs, a visiting fellow at the Heritage Foundation, on Apr. 4. “The president thinks that missile defense is essential in negotiating nuclear arms reductions with the Russians.”
