Obama's Meeting with Democrat PAC Closed to Press: President Obama visited New York City for two campaign events on Thursday evening, but one of them was not an official fundraiser.
The event was hosted by the Democratic House Majority PAC, but the group notified the White House Press pool it was not an official fundraiser.
"The president is appearing at the event only as a featured speaker and special guest, and is not asking for funds or donations," the official wrote. "We have invited a select group of HMP (House Majority PAC) supporters to attend."
