The hosts were commenting on the relative peace that had just been broken with the arrival of the police. Masked protesters chanted “Tell the true story!” at the reporters, who answered that they were trying to. One protester told Hayes that this was a “civil right movement” which wasn’t just about Mike Brown, but about all people.
