Why One Reporter Says She Was 'Silenced' by CNBC: Melissa Francis, a financial reporter on Fox Business, knows dollars and cents. But after trying to explain the dollars and cents of the Affordable Care Act to the audience tuned in to her former employer, CNBC, Francis says, she faced criticism from network executives.

While at CNBC, Francis said on “Fox & Friends,” she pointed out several flaws in the health care law. Among them: Americans would be kicked off their existing insurance plans and the cost of premiums would rise, because “the math of Obamacare simply didn’t work.”
