Accused robber who was shot by police: 'Call my mama!' | 13NEWSNOW.com: Chief of Police Tonya Chapman said charges are pending against a person whom police shot and took into custody after an armed robbery at the Royal Farms gas station and convenience store.

Chapman said at a news conference Monday afternoon that the 18-year-old was hit in his legs and buttocks when an officer opened fire.

The officer has been on the force for seven years. Chapman added that there is body camera footage showing what took place and that she reviewed that footage.

Dispatchers received a call about someone with a gun at the business in the 3600 block of Victory Boulevard shortly before 7 a.m. Monday.

The call was upgraded to a commercial robbery, and when officers arrived they saw the person with the gun running from the gas station.
