Amnesty: Iraq's Shiite Militias Using U.S. Weapons in War Crimes: The predominantly Shiite Popular Mobilization Units (PMU) has been using weapons provided by the United States, Europe, Russia, and Iran to commit war crimes in Iraq, according to the human rights watchdog Amnesty International.
The list of war crimes includes abductions, torture, and killings, committed by the PMU and other militias fighting alongside the Iraqi military against the Islamic State (ISIS/ISIL).
