2016 was most dangerous year for cops since 2011 - Business Insider: 2016 was the most dangerous year for law enforcement in five years, according to a new report.
On Monday — the beginning of National Police Week — the Brady Campaign to Prevent Gun Violence released a report showing 135 law enforcement officers were killed in 2016. This number was the highest since 2011 and a 56 percent uptick from 2015.
