Finland sword rampage – One dead and nine injured ‘as maniac student storms school stabbing as many people as possible’ – The Sun: A MANIAC stormed a Finnish school with a sword and a gun killing one and wounding nine today.
Cops opened fire on the suspect, who was wounded and arrested after the bloody rampage in the eastern city of Kuopio.
The attacker burst into Savo Vocational College and began stabbing as many people as possible, MTV Uutiset reports.
The knifeman was recognised as a student of the school, according to one witness quoted by the local news outlet.
They described him entering the class before pulling the blade from his bag and attacking the teacher with it, according to Finnish newspaper Iltalehti.
He is then said to have turned on his fellow students – plunging the blade into one girl’s neck and stomach.
A panic reportedly broke out among the students and some of them started to throw chairs at the attacker who fled the scene.
The attacker also set off fire bombs during the bloody rampage, according to KSML.
