Most Americans oppose govt.-only health care. | Sharyl Attkisson: Only 17% of Americans say private health insurance should be banned.

That’s according to a recent national survey by ScottRassmussen.com.

By an overwhelming margin, respondents said if the federal government offers a national health insurance plan, Americans should still have the choice of buying private insurance. Eighty-three percent (83%) took this stance.

Broken down by party affiliation, the view that private insurance is needed no matter what is shared by 86% of Republicans, 83% of Independents and 80% of Democrat
