Police: Mayor told cops, first responders not to help during Trump rally: The mayor of a Louisiana town has come under fire after he allegedly told police and other emergency responder personnel not to assist the city ahead of Trump’s upcoming visit.
The Shreveport Times reported that President Trump is scheduled to attend a rally on Thursday at 7 p.m. in CenturyLink Center to endorse Republican Eddie Rispone in his bid to unseat Democratic Gov. John Bel Edwards in the Nov. 16 Louisiana governor election.
