YouTube - Maddow Calls Out Obama On His "Prolonged Detention" Policies
certainly it was easier to campaign when you could just say "bush's fault" Hope .. change ... Bush's fault .. hope .. change.................
Unfortunately for Obama he can't continue that rhetoric when actually in the drivers seat and responsible for the Nations Security.
So what does he do?
Well in the campaign he under reacted to the war on terror and now he is over reacting to it.
He can't find a happy medium. He must decry Bush's policies even though he is resuming most of them but under different names.
Yet on some he is taking an even tougher stand because he now understands exactly what the threats are that we have been protected against.
The most annoying thing about him is that he can not just be straight forward ans say that he has been wrong all along. That he as a politician was not ready to lead us but only was able to run a really good campaign where all he did was run his mouth with no substance or experience behind it.
Now we are left with a very weak government internationally, a third rate economy and thrusts from terrorism on the rise because he himself has given them the idea that they can attack us only facing arrest at worst.
I was amazed that one member of his cheer leading team of MSNBC has actually called him on his double talk which so many people have not been able to read through. i am not however surprised that even Obama is not liberal enough for them. They will not be happy until we formally apologize to the Taliban for taking them out of power. Give free visas, health care, housing and a monthly allowance to terrorists while they are given education as pilots and assured jobs with large cross continental airlines.
