Organizing for America, the permanent version of President Obama’s election campaign, exists to unceasingly agitate for radical change.
The liberal New Republic magazine describes OFA, which is part of the Democratic National Committee, as
“an Internet version of the top-down political machines built by Richard Daley in Chicago or Boss Tweed in New York. The difference (other than technology) was that this new machine would rely on ideological loyalty, not patronage.”
Not surprisingly, President Obama used OFA resources to blast out a mass fundraising email about an hour after his socialist medicine legislation was approved by the House on the weekend, journalist Byron York told guest host Eric Bolling on the “Glenn Beck Program.”
OFA has been pressing members to call and email lawmakers to keep up the pressure for so-called healthcare reform. It also plans to run ads in states where Democratic senators are ”wobbly” on the plan, York said.
When the president unexpectedly (and undeservedly) received the Nobel Peace Prize, he blasted out a mass e-mailing through OFA that served notice he would use the surprise award to push his extreme agenda. Obama wrote in the email that he would “accept this award as a call to action.”
