Why Is Black-On-White Violence Not A “Hate Crime”? : The Last Resistance: For the record, I don’t like the idea of a “hate crime.” I don’t think the penalty for murder or assault or battery should be worse just because it was revealed that the attacker did it for racial reasons. Motive is important and often necessary in investigating who committed the crime. But the motive itself should have nothing to do with the punishment (save for self-defense). Just because a white racist murders a black person out of pure racial hatred doesn’t mean he should receive a stiffer penalty. He should receive the death penalty regardless of why he did it. Civil magistrates can’t read people’s hearts and minds. All they can do is punish criminal acts.

They are decent, hard working, and ready to become real Americans, (with the exception of the radicalized few, such as the Somali youths bamboozled into becoming suicide bombers). With exceptions (in Michigan and Minnesota), there are few Muslim ghettos in the US.
Europe's immigration problem is different. Muslim immigrants from some of the lesser-developed areas of the world are not being integrated, are not being compelled to live with European values, and are serious threats to public order. Ordinary Europeans do not want them as neighbors.

Levin’s thesis is that the balance of power between the three branches of the federal government, the states, and the American people has been distorted beyond the ability of conventional politics to repair. After all, if the power of the legislature has been diminished relative to the executive, the executive has dispersed its disproportionate power into unelected bureaucracies, and the states are increasingly powerless vassals of Washington, then there is no way for the peoples’ representatives in Congress or state houses to draft laws that would correct the situation. The entire point of this century-long quest to centralize power was to remove it from the clumsy hands of foolish American citizens. We are spectators to a game show in Washington. A new poll of American voters shows a majority—57 percent—support defunding this unfair, unaffordable, unworkable law.
Heritage Action for America and Basswood Research asked voters in 10 different congressional districts for their views on Obamacare, and respondents were decidedly against the law. Six of these House districts are represented by Republicans and four by Democrats, but across the board, an overwhelming 77 percent of voters favored either a slowdown in implementation or outright repeal.
