Congress doesn’t have time to read the Bills they sign

Congress doesn’t have time to read the Bills they sign: "We have been told over and over again from congress and this President that the stimulus bill had to be passed due to our endless financial emergencies. We were then told the pork would be taken out again and again. There is only one small problem. Pork kept being added. Soon it became clear to some of us that this was not a national emergency bill at all but a “revenge of the Democrats” bill.

The following were considered national emergencies to be added; $650 million for the digital television converter box coupon program; $600 million for furniture at the new Homeland Security headquarters; $200 million for public computer centers at community colleges; $88 million for renovating the headquarters of the Public Health Service, on and on, page after page. Then we heard from politician after politician that they didn’t have time to read the nearly 1200-page stimulus bill but voted for it. To me, the idea of voting for a monstrosity like this that steals for generations from the American people, without even knowing what is in it should be a CRIME. How is that representation in anyway? Join one of the Tea Parties April 15th and let your concerns be known. I will be one of the speakers at the Spokane WA Tea Party and am proud to be."
