Given the stark partisan split in the country among Democrats, Republicans and independents, it's a bit surprising that one issue seems to unite them all: They don't want to pay more taxes to fund social programs, a recent IBD/TIPP Poll shows. Indeed, none of the 28 demographic groups tracked by the IBD/TIPP Poll favored the idea. That includes Democrats, among whom only 33% supported higher taxes for more social spending. On the other end of the political spectrum, just 3% of Republicans said they like the idea."
It doesn't matter what the people want anymore. It is all about what "The One" and Pelosi want.
