Gates says it's time to 'move on' from his arrest
Why did Obama make a statement about the arrest of gates?
Instead of answering the reporters question with dignity like;
"I don't have all the facts yet and the professor is a friend of mine. I prefer to get information before making any statement."
Why did he chose to indicate that race was a problem?
My opinion is that he was simply race baiting. Looking for a way to garner sympathy for himself being a "black man" and rekindling some of his base that elected him because of race to get his approval rating up again. His sinking numbers are a determent to his attempt at taking over the health care field and American liberty.
He needed a boost in his numbers so the congress will follow him and just accept what he is saying about the health care bill. He wanted them to sign it without reading it again as he has done with all his legislation that has damaged American's.
Now Professor Gates is trying to get people to move on, admirable. But he adds "that he hoped his arrest would lead to a greater understanding about racial profiling in America." There was no racial profiling in his case. It was a case of him being indignant with the Police Officer because he felt that he was above the law. That he had friends in high places that could force the Officers dismissal. That he was above being questioned or investigated. That he could become abusive to the officer and get away with it because he was black and the Officer was white.
Imagine if the roles were reversed and a Black officer had been told by a prominent white person "I'll talk to your momma outside" Do you really think that the white civilian would be getting away with such favorable treatment by the Main Stream Media?
