The power of the Sheriff is supreme in his County.
Your Sheriff is elected and most probably very willing to talk to you regarding these issues.
He can in essence and practicality tell federal law makers that he will not abide by their rules if they violate the constitution, such as in the gun control bills that Obama is putting forward.
Make this go viral. There is no one who can arrest the Sheriff with one exception and it is not Obama.
