Gulf1 - C - Pappas: Now is the Time to Take a Stand!: "Days after he was sworn in Obama repeatedly warned that without the economic stimulus of 787 billion dollars it would be catastrophic for the economy. That was after the Bush Administration had already foisted the 700 billion dollar Troubled Asset Relief Program or TARP on to American taxpayers. Then on top of those two the Democrat Congress enacted an additional 400 billion dollar omnibus spending bill. So, in less than six months, two administrations, one Compassionate (stealth socialist) Conservative and the other, 'spread the wealth around' (socialist in all but the name) placed over 1.8 trillion dollars of additional tax burden on American taxpayers, with the Obama government planning to spend more money than all previous administrations in the entirety of the county's history, combined!

Part of the present problem is that instead of helping the economy, both actions only helped the rich to hold onto their 'troubled assets' and has done nothing for Middle America, much less the poor.
