During a week-long series of programs, The New Republic: America’s Future, on his early evening Fox News Channel show, Glenn Beck has focused to varying degrees daily on POTUS’s “Green Jobs Czar”, Van Jones, an avowed communist and radical STORM leader, as well as Jones’s connections to the Apollo Alliance.
Beck directed attention to the Alliance’s self-admitted role in February 2009 of having influenced “specific content of many of the [stimulus] bill’s provisions.” The Alliance also claims “policy proposals” originated last year in its The New Apollo Program and the Apollo Economic Recovery Act.
In the same Alliance news item, Senate Majority Leader, Harry Reid, is quoted as saying “We’ve talked about moving forward on these ideas for decades. The Apollo Alliance has been an important factor in helping us develop and execute a strategy that makes great progress on these goals and in motivating the public to support them.”
What neither the Alliance or Reid makes clear is who the “we” is who has talked about “moving forward on these ideas for decades.”
