Obama Criticizes 'Scare Tactics' of Health Care Reform Critics - Political News - FOXNews.com: "GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. -- President Obama criticized what he termed as the 'scare tactics' of opponents to health care reform, saying 'what is truly scary is if we do nothing' to solve the nation's health care problems.
The president also sought to put to rest claims that the health care overhaul he seeks would set up 'death panels' to rule on life-sustaining care for ailing seniors, while answering a question during a town hall style gathering in a Colorado high school gymnasium.
Obama explained that the provision that has caused the uproar would only authorize Medicare to pay doctors for counseling patients about end-of-life care, living wills, hospice care and other issues, if the patient wants it."
