Who is John Galt?: "Watching the wrestling match in the Senate today, a few thoughts came to mind.
We were told we could watch the healthcare bill get created on C-SPAN, and now watching C-SPAN 2 I see a lot of Senators asking where the bill is. So much for transparency, huh? I don't need to see what's going on in Harry Reid's office where the bill's really being written, but if you're one of the few people who still supports it, then maybe you should be wondering. Because you can bet that the reason these negotiations are taking place in private has more to do with keeping them secret from you than from me -- I'm already opposed.
The dishonesty that's tolerated in this process is simply mind-blowing. Hiding costs by moving them from one bill to another? Raising taxes immediately, but delaying benefits so that the program will appear more sustainable than it is? You do realize that anybody in the private sector who kept books like this would end up in prison, don't you?"
