Dutiful, hard-charging Mrs. Santa Claus of the Obama administration, Christina Romer, tries humor and irony to confront the certain storm over the gargantuan bonuses the banks are to pay to their gang after several quarters of the carry trade and cheap loans from the Fed.
This will be funny. POTUS is already distracted by the jobless, the Harry Reid fiasco, the Flight 253 revelations and now the health care bargaining, so how can he find time for more of his cheap shots on his pals the bankers?
Huffpo is not fooled. Obama is the banker’s apprentice, says Huffpo. Romer has rarely seemed more charming and has never appeared more impotent.
