Investors.com - No More Screw-ups

Investors.com - No More Screw-ups: "War On Terror: Homeland Security, we are learning in alarming ways, is a mess. It can't do its job and even has a policy for letting known terrorists board jetliners. We need a government that will fight for us.

The inspector general for Homeland Security found that the department's National Operations Center is 'unable,' according to CNSNews.com, 'to do its job of ensuring coordination among the 22 federal agencies that make up the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) and focuses too much on disaster management rather than terrorism prevention.'

In other words, about all Homeland Security can do is clean up the messes it couldn't stop. Or maybe the messes it helped create. CNSNews.com is also reporting that Homeland Security's inspector general published a report that indicates the department is guilty of gross malfeasance.

'Not all known or reasonably suspected terrorists are prohibited from boarding an aircraft, or are subject to additional security screening prior to boarding an aircraft,' said the inspector general.

'This is not an oversight,' CNSNews.com editor in chief Terence P. Jeffrey explains. 'It is a policy.'"
