Newsradio 1040 WHO: "If you're a frequent listener to my show you know the war between grassroots conservatives and the Republican Party Establishment continues with no end in sight, although a temporary detente appears to have been reached in the People's Republic of Massachusetts of all places.
The U.S. Senate race there has brought large portions of both sides together with one common goal -- the chance to end the Democrats' flibuster proof majority.
Would this actually put a stop to Obamacare as Barney Frank predicted? I have my doubts the Democrats would allow the train to be stopped after its already left the station. However, the election of Massachusetts State Senator (and former nude model) Scott Brown could very well put an end to future government power-grabs like, say, cap-and-trade for example.
But is the well-spoken and easy-on-the-eyes Brown a true champion of this alleged conservative revolt against the Left? The straight answer is no, and not by a long-shot.
For example, as a state senator he voted for the RomneyCare bill in Massachusetts that is the forerunner to the Obamacare being debated in the Congress as we speak. A big government boondoggle that has been routinely trashed by most experts and conservatives as a complete and total disaster for the commonwealth, and it doesn't poll well with the people of Massachusetts to boot."
