Exclusive: Beware the Erosion of American Sovereignty » Publications » Family Security Matters: "Given the nature of the current political atmosphere in Washington, it is no surprise that domestic issues such as the economy, jobs, education and health care dominate media coverage of the Congress and the White House. While these legislative initiatives are important, the Obama administration and Congress are also putting a great deal of effort into adopting a foreign policy that will severely undermine the United States and eliminate our sovereignty. The purpose of this series of articles is to bring attention to the vast array of international treaties on which the White House seeks ratification, and the immense danger that these treaties pose to American sovereignty and security.

While many Americans are deeply concerned about the loss of jobs, their personal savings and investments and their current health care plan, we must also be just as nervous about the current Administration's efforts to give away our national sovereignty. The current administration, paired with its Congressional allies, is fully determined to submit basic American powers and rights to an illegitimate and non-transparent international force. It seems that the White House and Congressional leaders have forgotten that the very founding of the new American nation was an assertion of an American identity separate and independent from that of Great Britain and Europe. Since our founding, the United States has declined to recognize any legal or political authority superior to our own."
