Car bomb attack on Lahore interrogation centre kills 11 | The Australian

Car bomb attack on Lahore interrogation centre kills 11 | The Australian: "A POWERFUL car bomb struck a law enforcement building used to interrogate suspected militants in the Pakistani city of Lahore today, killing 11 people and wounding more than 60.

There were scenes of major destruction in Pakistan's second biggest city where volunteers dug under the rubble of the building and a damaged Muslim seminary for survivors by an enormous crater.

Police said the target was a field investigation building used to interrogate suspected militants in Pakistan's cosmopolitan cultural capital where a wave of militant attacks has targeted security forces.

The blast caused buildings to collapse, crumpled roofs and littered the streets with tree branches. Bulldozers and other heavy-lifting machinery worked to clear away the mounds of rubble, local television footage showed."
