Communist Lawmaker Barbara Lee Doesn’t Want Tax Dollars Spent On Defending America | NewsReal Blog: "Brave New Films, an anti-American agitprop outfit that defends just about everything that is corrupt and evil in America (e.g. ACORN, redistributionism, social justice), has a new film out called “Rethink Afghanistan.”

These leftists argue that on this day, Tax Day, Americans should question if their tax dollars should continue to be spent on the war in Afghanistan which is being fought against al Qaeda and the barbaric Taliban. Of course left-wingers only care about taxes when the government is spending money to defend America — suddenly they start to sound like good government fiscal conservatives when tax money is used in military operations. Flush tax dollars down the toilet with useless social programs, grants to activist groups, and the like and the left doesn’t care.

Leftists believe the only proper role of the U.S. soldier is as a social worker. Digging wells in the Third World is noble to progressives but fighting America’s enemies is harsh and ugly.
