Palin Calls Federal Government ‘Intrusive,’ Blasts McCain Campaign For Giving Up On Michigan | Personal Liberty Digest
While speaking at an anti-tax forum in Clarkston, Mich., May 1, former Alaska Governor Sarah Palin warned nearly 1,400 residents about the unprecedented growth of the Federal government, and conveyed her hope to repeal healthcare reform legislation and reign in Federal spending, according to the Associated Press (AP).
As the keynote speaker at the Michigan Defending the American Dream Summit, Palin also took the opportunity to chastise her former running mate John McCain and his campaign staff for pulling out of Michigan during the 2008 presidential election.
"The rest of us will not abandon Michigan," she told the crowd. "You deserve much better than the kind of leadership you’re getting from Washington, D.C. If we’re going to get America back on track, we have to get back to some time-tested truth."
