DETAINEE CATCH & RELEASE POLICY
U.S. Army Master Sergeant John E. Hatley was sentenced (initially) to Life in prison for the alleged killing of four unidentified insurgents.
OIF -06-08 to Iraq was his 3rd deployment. John was only 6 months shy of retiring, having served his country for almost 20 years with an exemplary military track record and was highly decorated.
