Burka: The Canvas Prison » Publications » Family Security Matters:

A fascinating PowerPoint presentation has been sent to us. It is a sixty-frame English language version of a presentation which can already found on the internet in Spanish. The original version was called La Carcel de Tela (The Fabric Jail or The Canvas Prison). That early Spanish version only contains 30 frames. For those who do not have PowerPoint loaded on their computers, the original Spanish version can still be viewed online here. An earlier and simpler precursor of this, again in Spanish, was called La Burka.
The authors of the original Spanish PowerPoint presentations have remained anonymous, as have the people who created the expanded English language version, which is called “The Canvas Prison.”
Below are some frames from the presentation. Click onto any one of the pictures to download or view the PowerPoint presentation.
The presentation contains some interesting facts. For example, the origins of the burka seem to stem back to the Achaemenid Dynasty of the Persian Empire. This Dynasty expanded under Cyrus II (the Great, ruled 550 – 530 BC) and lasted until the time of Darius III (336-330 BC).
Other authors have speculated that the burka originated in the 13th century BC, according to some Assyrian texts.
