The New Media Journal | Sept. 11 Rally in Opposition to Ground Zero Mosque Gets No Media Coverage

The New Media Journal | Sept. 11 Rally in Opposition to Ground Zero Mosque Gets No Media Coverage: "As the nation observed the somber memorials in remembrance of the attacks of September 11, 2001, the mainstream media all but ignored a extraordinary gathering of Americans and foreign nationals alike who not only gathered to honor those lost on that fateful day but to show their opposition to a planed Islamic center and mosque just 500 feet from the epicenter of Ground Zero.

A crowd estimated at over 40,000 people and diverse in nature gathered yards from both the World Trade Center and the proposed location for the Islamic center and mosque, The Cordoba House, to honor those fallen and to oppose a structure that a majority of Americans believe will be seen as a 'trophy of conquest' by jihadists and fundamentalist Muslims all over the world.

'Tens of thousands descended upon Ground Zero today to remember those we lost nine years ago, and to save the American principles of freedom that the Sharia tramples.' wrote Pamela Gellar, publisher of Atlas Shrugs and co-organizer of the days events. Ms. Geller partnered with Robert Spencer of JihadWatch in organizing the event."
