Census Data Shows Steady Influx Of Immigrants Despite Mass Job Losses | Personal Liberty Digest: "New data compiled by the Census Bureau reports that 13.1 million immigrants, both legal and illegal, arrived in the United States in the past decade. During that period, there was an overall net decline of 1 million jobs in the nation.
According to the report Immigration and Economic Stagnation: An Examination of Trends 2000 to 2010, approximately 2.4 million new immigrants settled in the U.S. in 2008 and 2009, while 8.2 million jobs were lost during that same period. The Census Bureau concluded that — without a change in immigration policy — the level of immigration can remain high even in the face of massive job losses."
