Assange Says Obama Should Resign If Illegal Spying Is Found To Be True | Personal Liberty Digest

Assange Says Obama Should Resign If Illegal Spying Is Found To Be True | Personal Liberty Digest: "WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange has called for President Barack Obama's resignation if it can be proven that Obama approved illegal spying techniques.

During an interview with Spanish daily El Pais, Assange said the President should respond to the claim that Secretary of State Hillary Clinton asked for United Nations personnel's telephone numbers, emails, credit card details and frequent flier numbers, according to Agence France-Presse. The information was revealed in one of 250,000 classified State Department cables that were leaked on Assange's Website, WikiLeaks.

'The whole chain of command who was aware of this order, and approved it, must resign if the [United States] is to be seen to be a credible nation that obeys the rule of law,' Assange told the Spanish newspaper. 'The order is so serious it may well have been put to the President for approval.'"
