Unemployment | April 2011 | 9 Percent | The Daily Caller: "“Nonfarm payroll employment rose by 244,000 in April, and the unemployment rate edged up to 9.0 percent. Job gains occurred in several service-providing industries, manufacturing, and mining,” according to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics.

Contributing to these numbers was the largest restaurant chain in the world, McDonald’s Corp., who hired 62,000 new U.S. workers in April after receiving over one million applications, according to Bloomberg."
