Wasserman Schultz: "Obama Is Popular And The American People Support Him" | RealClearPolitics: DNC Chairwoman Rep. Debbie Wasserman Schultz says the turnout by Republican caucus-goers shows that the party has a "lackluster" field. When asked why she thought other candidates such as a Jeb Bush or a Chris Christie didn't seek the Republican nod, Wasserman Schultz said "they know that this is not the year for them."

Chris Matthews, MSNBC: "Did they have better candidates than they ran?"

Debbie Wasserman Schultz: "It appears that they do not have a field -- as extreme as the Republican base is, they don't have a field that they can get excited about."

Matthews: "Jeb? Mitch Daniels? Chris Christie? People like that. Would they have been better candidates?"

Wasserman Schultz: "The better candidates that potentially could've run understand that President Obama is popular, that the American people support him, that he stood up for the middle class and working families and he's got a lot accomplished, and so they know that this is not the year for them."

Matthews even says "I'm not sure that your right .. but your good" she is Nuttier than last years fruit cake!
