Barack Obama Profanes Reagan Legacy In Effort To Mislead Voters - The Ulsterman Report: In an attempt to align himself with the conservative principles of Ronald Reagan, Barack Obama declares his attempts to raise taxes as “The Reagan Rule”. He is lying of course – but lies now come very easily to this president…

Speaking at the White House this morning President Obama dismissed allegations his attempts to raise taxes on Americans was mere political grandstanding that could potentially inflict further harm on the still weak economy. Obama went so far as to align his own tax hike views with those of Ronald Reagan:

That wild eye-socialist tax hiking class warrior was Ronald Reagan . . . If it would help, we could call it the Reagan Rule, not the Buffett rule.

What Barack Obama fails to include in this scenario (of course) is that at the time, Ronald Reagan was calling for sweeping reforms and simplification of the American tax code – primarily drastic reductions both in tax loopholes and tax rates. President Obama on the other hand is doing nothing even remotely similar to that – what he is calling for is simple tax hikes on a select group of Americans as a means to further divide the nation and appeal to his far left Big Government base.
