And Buchanan concluded that some activists on the left are so vicious about politics because politics is all they have in their lives.
Accusations about a lack of civility are nothing new, and they are often flung back and forth between the left and the right. But Buchanan, the author of “Suicide of a Superpower: Will America Survive to 2025?” sees a distinct difference between how the two sides handle it.
It’s where politics falls in the pecking order of liberals’ life-long priorities, he said, that drives their venom.
