Benghazi discharge petition announced, Stockman to force action on Benghazi investigation | Congressman Steve Stockman: WASHINGTON -- Congressman Steve Stockman (R-TX 36) will seek to force a vote in Congress on creating a select committee to investigate the Obama administration’s handling of the Sept. 11, 2012 terrorist attack on the U.S. consulate in Benghazi, Libya.

Following the cancellation of a House hearing this week on the Benghazi attacks, Rep. Stockman announced his intention to file a discharge petition to force a vote on Rep. Frank Wolf’s H. Res. 36, which would establish a Select Committee to investigate the Benghazi attacks.
