Andrew Tahmooressi has been held in a Mexican prison — at times with both arms and legs shackled — since April 1. Sgt. Tahmooressi, who recently relocated from Florida to the San Diego area to obtain PTSD treatment after serving multiple tours in Afghanistan, is being held of weapons charges after he got lost and mistakenly crossed the Mexican border.
Now, while millions of illegal aliens cross into the U.S. along our southern border, Mexican officials are holding Tahmooressi and charging him with a “crime” that could result in hard time in a Mexican prison. Grassfire is launching this national petition to “FREE OUR U.S. MARINE,” calling on U.S. officials to pressure Mexico to immediately release Sgt. Tahmooressi.
