What John Kerry Told the Mourning Mother of a Fallen Israeli Proves He's Lost His Mind: Secretary of State John Kerry’s recent comments to a mother who lost her son in the Gaza fighting were, at best, insensitive. Some say they might indicate something worse.
According to the Washington Free Beacon, Kerry met the parents of “lone soldier” Max Steinberg during a recent trip to Israel. Kerry was in town negotiating a cease-fire; the Steinbergs were in town for their son’s funeral, along with about 30,000 other people.
Max Steinberg, a Los Angeles native, had volunteered for the Israel Defense Forces after a visit to the Jewish nation several years ago convinced him that it was worth fighting for.
According to the report, America’s most senior diplomat “entered and exited the room swiftly, surrounded by men in black and refusing to take any questions.”
The secretary of state then sat with the Steinbergs and unbelievably asked, “How’s your day?”
