Teenager dead after seven stabbed at Sydney house party - ABC News (Australian Broadcasting Corporation): A 16-year-old boy has died after he and six other people were stabbed at a house party in Sydney's north-west.
Police said a fight involving several young people broke out at the party on Victoria Road in Ryde around midnight.
Six males and one woman were stabbed.
Paramedics said a boy, understood by the ABC to be 16-year-old Aidan Smith, was taken to Westmead Hospital in a critical condition.
"Unfortunately in the early hours of this morning, a few hours ago, one of the young men has died," Superintendent John Duncan said.
The case is being treated as murder, he said.
