Obama Tells CNN His Greatest Regret Was Failure To Secure More Gun Control - Breitbart: President Barack Obama tells CNN’s Fareed Zakaria his greatest regret from the past eight years was his inability to further restrict the Second Amendment via more gun control.
Obama said:
If you ask me where has been the one area where I feel that I’ve been most frustrated and most stymied, it is the fact that the United States of America is the one advanced nation on earth in which we do not have sufficient common sense gun safety laws.
Zakaria said, “He failed to pass any firearms legislation. By the time it became a priority he simply did not have the political capital'''
.”
Flashback:
Obama, at a campaign stop in Lebanon, Virginia in 2008 says he believes in the second amendment. "I just want to be absolutely clear. Alright, So I don't want any misunderstanding when you all go home and you are talking to your buddies and you say, ah 'He wants to take your guns away.' You've heard it here, I'm on television so everybody knows it. I believe in the Second Amendment. I believe in people's lawful right to bear arms. I will not take your shotgun away. I will not take your rifle away. I won't take your handgun away."
