Berkeley: DVC professor's arrest sparks conservative joy: The arrest of a former Diablo Valley College professor on Wednesday prompted some conservative social media to celebrate the apprehension of a man they say used a bike lock in a vicious attack during a rally for President Donald Trump last month.
Eric Clanton remained in custody in lieu of $200,000 bail at Berkeley Jail on Thursday and will be arraigned Friday morning at 9 a.m. at Oakland’s Wiley W. Manuel courthouse. He was arrested on suspicion of use of a firearm during a felony with an enhancement clause and assault with a non-firearm deadly weapon.
