Gunman Opens Fire on Police Officers In Delaware - Breaking911: NEW CASTLE, DELAWARE — A gunman inside a residence reportedly opened fire on New Castle County police officers on Tuesday—no officers were struck.
The incident happened on Lawrence Avenue.
WPVI reported: The officers took cover behind their vehicles on Route 2 (Kirkwood Highway) and have closed Route 2.
Police are notifying day cares in the area and the Newark Farmers Market to lock down.
The suspect was later taken into custody.
